Biography
Jeffrey Mueller was born in Galt Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. His goal and dream, since he was a child, was to work in film and animation, creating productions that touch the hearts of the public. Silenced, a made for television movie, is Jeffrey’s first success at directing a film.
Jeffrey grew up in Wellesley, Ontario a small town with a population of approximately 2,100, located in a horse and buggy Mennonite community. During his studies in secondary school in the early 80’s, Jeffrey took a very extensive correspondence course from the Minneapolis Minnesota College of Fine Arts. He then moved on to attended the National Institution of Broadcasting in Toronto, Ontario, in 1994, not with the idea of becoming a Broadcaster, but to explore another side of artistry and film making to enhance his budding talents as a cartoonist.
After graduating with honours in Radio, Television Programming, and Film Production, Jeffrey approached Sheridan College of Fine Arts in Oakville, Ontario, with the hope of perfecting his drawing techniques and learning about the animation and film industry from the industry itself.
While in his final year at Sheridan, Jeffrey Mueller was afforded the opportunity to draw and paint one of the background “keys” as a test application for the Beauty and the Beast animated movie for Walt Disney Productions. When Jeffrey completed the scenes in various stages up to the finished background key and layouts, the drawings were then submitted and accepted by the production company. As years passed and contracts ended for Jeffrey as a animator, taking his experiences and contacts with him, Jeffrey switched gears and went on to work as an actor through a talent agency and landed acting roles for several TV series, commercials and feature films. At this time, Jeffrey was introduced to Curtis J. Peterson, D.O.P., President of PPI Camera Corp., along with several affiliates of Curtis’. Jeffrey’s creative talents and reputation were noticed and he was offered a chance to work alongside film professionals learning all about the film industry from the inside, as a grip/Key Grip, graduating himself to higher positions with many film productions. Jeffrey Mueller’s advanced creativity and curiosity has lead him into these experiences just by having a unique talent to create those visual unforgettable scenes that you often see in many feature films. One day Jeffrey was approached by a feature film producer to be a Key Grip for an upcoming film. This meeting was a bungee jumping experience that Jeffrey will never forget! Having passed this test, they both went on to working together on such film projects as Clan Of The Cave Bear, Never Cry Wolf, and many other feature films that required Jeffrey to perform courageous stunts. These included being strapped inside a fighter jet traveling at very high speeds - not afraid to go the distance to create those unforgettable scenes. To this day, Jeffrey has been seen hanging from high-rise rooftops, camping out in 50-foot condors, and hanging out of baskets from a hot air balloon.
